Christian Karembeu was presented as special advisor to The HollandBelgium Bid, the joint candidacy of Belgium and The Netherlands for the FIFA World Cup 2018/2022, in Brussels on 22 June 2009. The former French international was introduced by the President of the Belgian FA, François De Keersmaecker, and Alain Courtois, who is senior director of The HollandBelgium Bid.
