Such a character as well - you don't see many "characters" in football anymore. He would be instrumental in Paraguay's Round of 16 berth in France where they were knocked out agonisingly by eventual winners France in extra time. 4 years later in Korea/Japan, Chilavert would return and almost scored a scorching free kick in a cracker of a game against Slovenia.
