Fredrikstad Fotballklubb (FFK) is a Norwegian football club from the city of
Fredrikstad. It was founded April 7, 1903 and has won the Norwegian League 9
times.
The current manager is Knut Torbjørn Eggen, son of Rosenborg B.K.'s former
manager Nils Arne Eggen. FFK's home ground is Fredrikstad Stadion (record
attendance: 15.534 against Larvik Turn in 1956).
FFK was relegated from the highest division in 1984 and has since played in
the two lower divisions. In 2002, FFK was promoted from the third to the
second highest division. In the following season, the team finished at
second place and was promoted to the highest division. Much thanks to its
manager Knut Torbjørn Eggen, FFK managed to climb two divisions in two
seasons, finding itself in the highest division once again.
