The Rajamangala National Stadium
built in the capital of Thailand is an excellent facility with a
seating capacity of 65,000. The covered stands account for 11,000
seats of the total capacity. This stadium, not surprisingly, has
been the site of major international events including the 1998
Asian Games, Olympic qualifiers and other equally important
events. This venue, with a well maintained playing pitch measuring
105m x 68m, features facilities like an electronic scoreboard with
a timer and video capability, four good dressing rooms, referees'
room, showers and also the all-important standby generator. The
lighting system is one of the best in the region with a capability
of 1,800 lux.
