He was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires
(Argentina), on November, 7th of 1973.
In 1992 he started his professional
career with Estudiantes LP. He played 6 seasons with this teams and he
scored 74 goals in 142 matches.
In 1998 Boca Juniors bought Martin
Palermo, where he played 2 seasons. With him Boca Juniors has won three
argentinian leagues, the Libertadores Cup and the Intercontinental Cup
against the Real Madrid from Spain.
He also played for the argentinian
National Team in the 1999 American Cup. He scored 6 goals and he was
famous in the world failing 3 penalties in a match.
Now he is the new player of the
Villareal (Spain).
